Happy Fall Ya'll!

This morning I awoke to the other side of the bed shifting under Colt's weight. He was getting up. The sun was up. I should get up.

Nahhhh. It's Sunday. I can sleep in.

(I pull my extra pillow over my ears and head-- I'm still not used to the pixie cut!)

I hear Colt release the monster. His feet pat around the corner and I know he's about to plunge into mommy and daddy's bed.

He climbs up, using our coverlet quilt as a ladder. He leans over me (I secretly hope that the cover and pillow are hiding me).

Shake once.

Shake twice.

"Mama!" Wyatt shouts.

Shake, shake shake.

He leans over me, I peak one eye open.

"Hey you!" he says, and then my first day of fall began.

Happy First Day of Fall, Ya'll!

I know it's been a while, but I have been truly blessed to have a wonderful job at a wonderful early learning center and the most wonderful little family in the world.
